Introducing Oya — the AI that sits in every MeetOye call
Most meeting tools treat AI as an add-on: a bot you remember to invite, a recorder you toggle, an integration you wire up. MeetOye takes the opposite stance. Oya is on by default in every call, because the value of a meeting assistant only shows up when it never misses one.
What Oya does in the room
- Live speech-to-text captions from the first second of the call.
- Live translation captions, per participant, in the language each person chose.
- A speaker-labelled transcript stored against the meeting timeline.
- Decisions and action items detected automatically as people talk.
When the call ends, Oya distils everything into a summary, attributes action items to owners, and emails a recap to every authenticated attendee — usually before you have closed the tab.
“The product should not feel like a meeting clone. It should feel like a modern platform where every meeting is remembered and understood.”
MEETOYE PRODUCT PRINCIPLES
Built to stay out of the way
Oya runs as a separate service from the media engine and the API. If Oya ever fails, the meeting keeps working — audio and video never depend on the AI layer. That separation is a hard rule, not a nice-to-have: media stability always wins over a caption.
Hosts stay in control. Oya can be disabled per meeting, transcripts are visible only to people who attended, and nothing is shared with third parties.
