MVP roadmap
The phased build order, from meeting core to desktop.
MeetOye is built as the smallest working vertical slice first, then layered with AI. Current status: Phase 1 vertical slice.
Phase 1 — Meeting core
- Google login, create meeting, join by link/code
- Pre-join lobby with camera preview and device selectors
- Audio/video call, screen share, participant grid
- Mute/unmute, camera on/off, leave/end, host controls
- Chat and people panel
Phase 2 — Oya STT
- Oya joins as a service participant and receives audio
- Live speech-to-text with captions shown in the meeting
- Transcript stored by speaker and timestamp
Phase 3 — Live translation
- Per-user spoken language (or auto-detect) and caption language
- Each user receives only their selected translation
- Original and translated transcripts both preserved
Phase 4 — Summary & email
- Summary, action items, decisions, speaker-wise transcript
- Email recap to joined authenticated users
Phases 5–6 — Recording & desktop
- Audio recording, optional full video, storage and share policy
- Tauri Windows/macOS apps with native screen share and notifications
